Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 12/19/2014



On Friday negotiated cash trading in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt was slow on

light to moderate demand. Compared to last week in Nebraska live sales sold mostly

steady to 4.00 lower at 160.00. Not enough dressed sales for a full market trend.

Last week dressed sales sold from 256.00 to 257.00. In the Western Cornbelt compared

to the prior week live sales sold 2.00 lower at 160.00. Dressed sales sold 6.00 lower

from 248.00 to 251.00. On Friday in the Southern Plains and Colorado trading was 

inactive on light demand. Not enough sales for a market trend. The last fully 

reported market in Kansas was on Wednesday with live sales mostly at 157.00. The last

reported market in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado was for the prior week. In both

regions live sales sold at 164.00.
