The Pork Report: Hog Slaughter Totals Dip, Lean Hogs Inch Higher

Lean hogs ended higher on Thursday, finishing the day up $0.28 to $80.28. Grains also improved. Soybean meal was the biggest gainer, jumping $2.00 to $385.30.

Rib, ham and belly were the only primate values to gain, improving by $2.11, $0.37 and $2.55 respectively. Loin saw the biggest drop, falling $2.16 to $99.04. Hog slaughter totals dropped by 4,000 to 419,000.
