Roberts Report: U.S. Cattle Herd At Its Smallest In 50 Years

Fundamentals show that there will be fewer feeders available for fattening next year. The U.S. cattle herd has been shrinking for some time now and is the smallest it’s been in 50 years. Hog Outlook: Lower U.S. Pork Exports, Prices End Higher

The average price of pork in grocery stores last month was $3.32 per pound, the second highest month ever. November retail pork prices were down 4.3 cents from October, but 50.2 cents higher than in November 2009.
