Sign up now for July PQA Plus Advisor Recertification session
People who become certified as Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) Plus® Advisors under the National Pork Board's PQA Plus program are required to recertify every three years. That means those certified during the initial training period in 2007 need to complete a recertification training and testing session.

Minnesota PQA Plus and TQA certification programs scheduled

Iowa State PQA Plus deadline extended
The application deadline for the May 4 Pork Quality Assurance Plus® (PQA Plus®) Advisors certification program being offered by the Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC) at Iowa State University (ISU) has been extended. James McKean, IPIC associate director and ISU Extension swine veterinarian, is coordinating the training program and said those interested in participating now have through Friday, April 29, to submit their application to attend.

PQA Plus Hits Milestone in Iowa
\There are now 5,471 Iowa pork production sites that have been assessed through the industry’s Pork Quality Assurance Plus program. This marks a significant milestone, including nearly 14,000 Iowans who are certified in the PQA Plus training program.

PQA Plus Advisor training offered May 4
Veterinarians and others in Iowa’s pork industry have the opportunity to become Pork Quality Assurance Plus® Advisors under the National Pork Board's PQA Plus® program. The certification process requires attendance at a daylong training session and passing an exam at the conclusion of that session. The Iowa Pork Industry Center (IPIC) at Iowa State University (ISU) will hold one such training May 4.
