Livestock Slaughter: Pork production up 5 percent from April 2012
According to the USDA's latest "Livestock Slaughter" report, pork production totaled 1.94 billion pounds, up 5 percent from the previous year. Hog slaughter totaled 9.36 million head, up 6 percent from April 2012.
