The number of women managing farms in Kansas is rising, according to Dana Hoffman, producer policy specialist with the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers.

To aid those women who are helping to grow the nation's food supply, Hoffman and others have put together a workshop, "Women Managing the Farm," slated for Feb. 17-18 in Wichita, Kan.

The conference will include presentations regarding business planning and managing employees. Participants also will have opportunities for networking and learning from others attending the conference.
