Russian authorities have reviewed and reinstated the Tyson Foods’ pork processing plant in Columbus Junction, Iowa, for export to their country, reports Meatingplace.com.

According to an updated posting on USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service website, pork products produced on or after Nov. 24, can be once again be shipped to Russia.

Russia imposed an export ban on the Columbus Junction plant in the second quarter of 2009. Russia’s food-safety agency a the time reported that “E.coli and mesophilic aerobic microorganisms and optionally anaerobic microorganisms have been detected.”
