Last Friday, the Triumph Foods pork processing plant in St. Joseph, Mo., was evacuated in response to a bomb threat that the company received. The report was false and the company, personnel and community were all untouched. About 2,600 people work at the plant.

Police in Kansas City, Mo., received an anonymous call early on Friday, Nov. 28, saying there was a bomb in the Triumph Foods plant. St. Joseph police were notified and employees were evacuated at about 1:45 p.m.

Nearby streets were blocked off while emergency workers and Triumph staff searched the plant, according to the St. Joseph News-Press.

No bomb or explosives were found and the plant reopened around 3 p.m. Friday.
