A USDA grant has made doctorate degree fellowships in sustainable agriculture available at Iowa State University in 2008.
The USDA grant will provide two fellowships to students pursuing doctoral degrees in sustainable agriculture. The two students awarded will receive an annual stipend of $24,000 for three years and an annual allowance of $1,500 to apply towards educational expenses. Full tuition and benefits are included.
The deadline for applying is Feb. 1, 2008, but applications will be accepted until both awards are made. Applicants must be United States citizens or nationals, with priority given to members of those groups traditionally under-represented in the food and agricultural sciences. An application is available at: http://www.sust.ag.iastate.edu/gpsa/application.html.
