Three U.S. pork plants have been barred from Russia’s list of eligible exporters, reports Meatingplace.com. The announcement was made Monday by USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Farmland Foods' Denison, Iowa, and Crete, Neb., pork plants and Seaboard Foods' Guymon, Okla., slaughterhouse can no longer ship product to Russia effective Dec. 7.

According to FSIS, pork originating from these establishments through Dec. 6 must be loaded on ship by that date. Reasons for the banning were not immediately available.
