At this year’s National Pork Industry Forum, in Orlando, Fla., R.H. “Moe” Mohesky became the newest enrollee to the Pork Industry Hall of Fame. Each year the National Pork Producers Council install individuals who have shown exceptional dedication and leadership within the U.S. pork industry.

A University of Missouri graduate, Mohesky spent nearly 30 years with Cargill’s Feed Division where he moved up through the ranks to become Assistant Vice President and General Manager of the Swine Products Department. He retired from that post in 1995. He continues to own Clover M Farms.

Through the course of his involvement with North Carolina and national pork industry organizations, he served on a variety of committees and held leadership positions, including NPPC president. Committed to expanding pork’s export markets, he served as chairman of the U.S. Meat Export Federation, during which time China’s market opened up.
