The 2007 Pork Production Worker Safety Roundtable will be held Nov. 5–6 at the Kansas City Airport Hilton, in Kansas City, Mo. The meeting will cover several aspects of worker safety including training, prevention and compliance. Specific agenda items include safe animal handling, safety during truck rollovers, pre-employment physicals and safe animal euthanasia. This meeting also is an opportunity to network with safety professionals in pork production.

An Occupational and Safety Health Administration “10-hour training course” will be offered in conjunction with the roundtable. The training will take place Nov. 5, from 8-12, and Nov. 6, from 2-5.  This training is limited to 25 people. Participants will receive an OSHA completion card for general industry.
