In today’s fast-paced world it is sometimes challenging to keep up on all of the latest news. But now it is easier than ever. The National Pork Board is offering a podcast titled Pork Pod, which is available for anyone who wants to keep up to date on the latest news in the pork industry. It is an audio file that is available online. Listeners can acquire these broadcasts through a computer, iPod or MP3 player.
Unlike other files, you can listen to the NPB online at pork.org, downloaded to your computer, or played on an iPod or MP3 player. If you choose to subscribe to Pork Pod via a RSS feed, it will automatically be updated each time new material is posted online.
“Pork Pod is another tool that the NPB can utilize to communicate news to producers that they can use on their farms,” says Teresa Roof, manager of public relations for the NPB. “This will be an easy and convenient way for producers to hear from experts in the industry on current issues and hot topics in pork production.”
Pork Pod programs will feature an interview with an expert in a designated field. Topics will include a wide variety of pork production issues including information on PCVAD, PQA Plus, animal ID, and much more.
Typically, the podcast lasts approximately 7-10 minutes. You can find Pork Pod on www.pork.org under the spotlight section.
