Beginning Monday, Sept. 30, the national pork checkoff rate will be reduced 5 cents – from 45 cents per $100 value to 40 cents per $100 value per hog. Elected state pork producers and importers who pay the checkoff voted to recommend the rate reduction during Pork Forum earlier this year.
