A one-day program on swine production is scheduled for Dec. 16 in Columbia, Mo. The "Passion For Pigs" conference will take place at the Holiday Inn Executive Center. The event will feature a keynote address by Mike Brumm, Brumm Swine Consultancy, Mankato, Minn. Brumm will discuss emergency ventilation systems and pit pumping mistakes in his presentation titled “We Lose too Many Pigs with our Mistakes.”

Reid Philips, DVM, will make a presentation titled  'PRRS is Lurking - Are You Prepared?' Other speakers slated for the session include John Waddell, DVM; Doug King, DVM; Neil Debuse, DVM; Karen Lehe, DVM and Dennis DiPietre among others. A trade show and industry-sponsored presentations also will be featured. Stephen Patterson, DVM, Northeast Veterinary Services, will host the event.
