Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, the Nebraska Pork Producers Association’s Pork Industry Mentoring Program, is seeking young adults who desire the opportunity to: thoroughly explore the pork industry; shadow professionals in all facets of the pork industry; identify future career goals; and evolve into stronger agricultural advocates.

By participating in the program, young adults will increase their knowledge of the pork industry and its numerous related alliances. In addition, this program will enable some students to earn college credit and/or a $100 scholarship.

The participant must be between the ages 18 and 24 on Jan. 1, 2005, exhibit a sincere interest in the continued vitality of Nebraska’s swine industry and be capable to commit to the program from February-December 2005.   He/she need not be a pork producer, nor an NPPA member, but must either be a Nebraska resident or attending a Nebraska post-secondary school.

All interested individuals must submit, to the NPPA office, an official application and resume by Oct. 15.
