The National Farmers Organization has introduced a new program for U.S. pork producers, intended to increase premiums and share of profits from retail sales for the producer.

The program is called PorkPayback and is based on producers delivering directly to the packer or NFO marketing center and receiving rewards on a grade and yield basis. In addition, you can earn extra premiums from retail services, according to the NFO Web site, but it does not specify how

The meat carries the Confederated Swine Producers American Family Farms brand meat labels. Confederated Swine delivers 2000 animals per week. The group has 63 members from different segments of production, including farrowers, nursiers and finishers.

Participating members must have hogs that meet PorkPayback standards, including specifications for quality and genetic makeup.
