Paul McCartney continues his anti-meat quest, now with a new video, a Web site and a song-writing challenge.

The former Beatle recently took his Meat-free Monday pitch to the European Union. This week a new video is available that has McCartney narrating, in which he declares, "If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian."

A longtime vegetarian and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals supporter, McCartney did the 13-minute video for PETA "to raise awareness about slaughterhouses" and the "price of meat consumption."

Last week McCartney spoke about the Meat-free Monday initiative at the European Parliament's hearing on global warming and food policy. The objective is to get people to refrain from meat consumption at least one day a week.

Rounding out his effort, McCartney now has a Web site to raise awareness about Meat-free Mondays, which includes a song-writing challenge to the public, as well as vegetarian recipe contributions
