Boxed beef cutout values higher on Choice and steady on Select on 
moderate demand and light to moderate offerings. Select and 
Choice round cuts higher while loin cuts steady. Choice rib and chuck cuts 
firm to higher while Select lower. Beef trimmings higher on light to moderate 
demand and light offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 1.94 at 188.10; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
UP 0.05 at 185.81; based on 83.49 loads of Choice cuts, 31.28 
loads of Select cuts, 7.0 loads of Trimmings, and 22.08
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 2.88 at 179.99; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses UP 1.93
at 176.59.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 188,834 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 167.65
DN 0.86.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.88, UNCHANGED.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 43.80 loads of pork cuts and 11.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Tuesday's ClFresh 1/4" trim loins steady to 4.00 higher;
butts steady to 4.00 lower; hams and bellies not tested; lean trimmings 
1.00 higher.  Trading light to moderate with light to moderate demand and 
offerings on retail cuts while processing cuts experienced moderate demand 
on light offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **85.08 UP 0.22.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 106.00-112.00.
