   Boxed beef cutout values firm to higher on light demand offerings. 
Select and Choice rib, and loin cuts generally steady while chuck and 
round cuts firm to higher. Beef trimmings steady on light demand and 
offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 0.59 at 186.16; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
UP 0.89 at 185.76; based on 91.48 loads of Choice cuts, 30.47 
loads of Select cuts, 6.04 loads of Trimmings, and 20.50
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 0.80 at 177.11; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses UP 0.95
at 174.66.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 120,228 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 168.51
UP 0.61.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.88, DN 0.18.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 47.25 loads of pork cuts and 8.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Wednesday's Fresh 1/4" trimmed bone-in loins not tested; 
Butts steady to firm; sknd hams 17-20 lbs 5.00 lower, 20-23 lbs 2.00 
lower, 23-27 lbs steady; sdls bellies 14-18 lbs along with lean trimmings 
not tested. Trading slow to moderate, with light demand and mostly 
moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **81.31 DN 0.48.**
