   Boxed Beef cutout values steady on moderate demand and offerings. 
Select and Choice rib and chuck cuts steady to firm while round and 
loin cuts steady to weak. Beef trimmings lower on light demand and 
light to moderate offerings. 

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.13 at 186.76; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
DN 0.08 at 181.02; based on 124.56 loads of Choice cuts, 83.63 
loads of Select cuts, 7.54 loads of Trimmings, and 30.72
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.07 at 177.89; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses DN 0.04
at 171.10.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 156,502 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 165.16
UP 1.25.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.71, UNCHANGED.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 56.50 loads of pork cuts and 14.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Tuesday's Close:    Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins steady
to 4.00 lower; butts steady to 2.00 lower; sknd hams 17-20 lbs 3.00 higher,
other weights not tested; sdls bellies along with lean trimmings not 
established. Trading slow, with light demand and mostly moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **85.46 DN 1.12.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 104.00; Hams bone in trimmed, 
17-20 lbs trim spec 1 75.00.
