NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT
  Boxed Beef cutout values lower on light to moderate demand and 
moderate offerings. Select and Choice rib cuts steady while chuck 
and round cuts weak to lower. Loin cuts steady on Select and lower 
on Choice. Beef trimmings higher on moderate demand and light to 
moderate offerings. 

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 1.77 at 188.01; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
DN 0.71 at 182.19; based on 112.61 loads of Choice cuts, 52.88 
loads of Select cuts, 12.84 loads of Trimmings, and 22.78
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 1.36 at 178.70; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses DN 0.84
at 170.37.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 180,113 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 165.21
UP 0.59.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.62, UP 0.02.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 111.50 loads of pork cuts and 7.50 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Wednesday's Close:  Fresh 1/4" trim loins steady 
to 1.00 lower; butts steady; 23-27 lb hams 2.00 higher; sdls bellies 
14-16 lbs 5.00 higher; lean trimmings steady to 1.00 higher.  Trading 
moderate with light to moderate demand for mostly moderate offerings 
for retail cuts while processing cuts experienced moderate demand for 
light to moderate offerings. 

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **84.70 DN 0.38.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 105.00-112.00; 
seedless bellies 14-16 lbs 145.00; 16-18 lbs 145.00.
