NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT
  Boxed beef cutout values weak on light demand and offerings. Select 
and Choice chuck cuts weak while rib, round and loin cuts steady. 
Beef trimmings higher on light to moderate demand and light offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.22 at 196.11; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
DN 0.14 at 174.03; based on 57.63 loads of Choice cuts, 30.23 
loads of Select cuts, 12.04 loads of Trimmings, and 19.39
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 0.13 at 186.82; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses DN 0.23
at 165.30.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 234,281 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 161.24
UP 0.28.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
12.93, UP 0.01.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 35.25 loads of pork cuts and 6.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Friday's Close:     Fresh 1/4" trimmed loins firm;
butts mostly steady; sknd hams 20-27 lbs 2.00 higher; sdls bellies 
not tested; lean trimmings steady to weak. Trading very slow, with 
light to moderate demand and offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **82.34 UP 0.42.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 108.00; Hams bone in trimmed, 
20-23 lbs trim spec 1 81.00.
