   Boxed Beef cutout values firm to higher on moderate demand and light 
to moderate offerings. Select and Choice chuck, rib, and loin cuts steady 
to firm while round cuts  steady to weak. Beef trimmings lower on light 
demand and light to moderate offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses UP 0.37 at 193.83; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
UP 1.28 at 186.20; based on 77.08 loads of Choice cuts, 57.44 
loads of Select cuts, 12.30 loads of Trimmings, and 36.14
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.21 at 185.01; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses UP 0.24
at 175.05.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 113,221 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 164.13
DN 0.09.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.53, UP 0.01.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 83.99 loads of pork cuts and 16.0 loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Tuesday's Close:    Fresh 1/4" trimmed bone-in loins
not tested; butts steady; sknd hams 20-27 lbs not tested; sdls bellies not
established; lean trimmings steady to 1.00 higher. Trading moderate, with
light to moderate demand and mostly moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **84.25 UP 0.49.**
