Purina Animal Nutrition LLC launches a newly reformulated line of the UltraCare® pig starter feed products. The new formulation builds on the proven results of the UltraCare® feed products with added benefits in palatability, feed efficiency and nursery exit weights.

“Purina has a long history of providing industry-leading pig starter electrolytes, gel and feeds that help swine producers reach their goals from start to finish,” says Dr. Dari Brown, director of livestock young animal marketing and business for Purina Animal Nutrition. “The new UltraCare® pig starter feed products take these benefits in performance even further.”

In addition to the proven power of the original UltraCare®  feed products, the new UltraCare® pig starter feed products include: an improved MpD®-class palatant for added palatability; exclusive nutraceuticals for increased palatability, gut immunity support, feed digestibility and absorption and optimized nutrient formulation.

These added benefits are included in all UltraCare® feed products, created for nursery pigs from birth through 65 pounds. Two new products, UltraCare® 600 and UltraCare® 700 feed, have also been added to the pig starter feed program to focus on feed efficiency and strengthen performance through the growing stage.

Feeding trials comparing the original UltraCare feed products to the new UltraCare pig starter feed products show significant benefits in the nursery and growing stages, demonstrating up to: 15 percent greater early feed intake;[1] 24.3 percent greater early gain;[2] 11.8 percent enhanced early feed efficiency; 4.6 percent improvement in late nursery feed efficiency;2 and a 2.7 pound greater nursery exit weight at 50 days of age.[3]
