The Kansas State University Agricultural Lenders Conference will be held in Garden City, Kan. on Oct. 3 and in Manhattan, Kan. on Oct. 10. The same program will be offered at each location. “Holding the conference at two locations allows attendees to choose the location and date most convenient to them,” said conference coordinator Rich Llewelyn. 

The Oct. 3 conference in Garden City will be held at the K-State Southwest Research-Extension Center, 4500 E. Mary St. The Oct. 10 conference in Manhattan will be at the International Grains Program (IGP) Conference Center, 1980 Kimball Avenue, across from the KSU football stadium.

Registration for both events will begin at 8 a.m., with the program starting at 9 a.m. Topics discussed during the conference include the

2007 farm bill, biofuels, land values and rents, new crop insurance and disaster aid plans and grain and livestock market outlooks.

Early registration deadlines are Sept. 27 for the Garden City conference and Oct. 4 for the Manhattan program. The cost for early registration is $75; registration at the door the day of the conference is $85.
