The IowaPorkIndustryCenter, the Iowa Pork Producers Association and Iowa State University Extension are co-sponsoring two meetings for pork producers to help provide information and answers to questions about the Air Emissions Consent Agreement.

Both meetings are on Thursday, July 14.  The first meeting is at 1:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County Extension Office in WebsterCity, and the second meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the MuseNorrisConferenceCenter on the NIACC campus in Mason City.

The program will feature Eldon McAfee, IPPA legal counsel, who will lead a discussion on the Agreement concerning producer options and responsibilities for those who choose to participate in the agreement. A question and answer session will be held at the end of each program.

The deadline to participate in the agreement was extended to July 29. There is no cost to attend the meetings. For more information on the agreement, contact the IPPA at 800-372-7675 or the IPIC at 800-808-7675.
