The Iowa Pork Producers Association has teamed up with SwineCast, to present the 2008 Iowa Pork Congress seminars through a podcast format.
SwineCast will record the audio from each of the more than a dozen speaker presentations and make the recordings available online following Pork Congress. Each of the speaker's PowerPoint presentations also will be available to download.
"It will be great to work with a company that has the technical expertise to preserve these valuable seminars for future use," says Ali Smith, IPPA producer education director. "We feel it's a great partnership."
Attendees and others will be able to access presentations on Iowa's environmental regulations and manure agreement, managing input costs, occupational health and safety for pork producers and several other seminars at www.swinecast.com.
"SwineCast, the industry's leading podcast, is pleased to work with IPPA to deliver the Iowa Pork Congress proceedings," says Ned Arthur, SwineCast host and director of content development for Truffle Media Networks. "We're offering producers and others in the industry the convenience of consuming the seminar information at their leisure and the ability to share it with employees and co-workers."
Information on how to access the online materials will be available at each Iowa Pork Congress seminar.
The 36th annual Iowa Pork Congress will be held Jan. 23 and 24 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines.
