Hy-Vee stores, one of the Midwest’s major grocery retail chains, is featuring four new $10 pork items to celebrate October Pork Month. Hy-Vee, which has more than 225 retail stores across seven Midwestern states, is building on the success of its recent 10-pork-chops-for-$10 merchandising strategy.
“During October, Hy-Vee stores are featuring four new $10 items, including boneless ribs, thicker chops and American chops,” says Ryan Mills, retail marketing manager for the National Pork Board.
Hy-Vee, which ranks among the top 30 supermarket chains in the nation, is supporting this unique offer through its advertising, including in-store displays and banners, circulars that reach half a million people each week, coupons and Hy-Vee TV, which reminds shoppers to purchase pork for a perfect mealtime solution. The promotion will also be supported by in-store samples of fresh pork.
“Customers often purchase pork when it’s presented this way,” Mills says. “We’re excited about this promotion, because Hy-Vee has been a great retail partner for the Pork Checkoff for years, from the World Pork Expo to October Pork Month.”
