Two Senators want Americans to be more aware of health information on the food they consume at chain restaurants. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) want chain restaurants to display nutritional information on menus and vending machines.

The proposed legislation introduced by the lawmakers, known as the Menu Education and Labeling Act, would require chain restaurants with 20 or more locations to list calories, sodium, saturated and trans fat and carbohydrates.
