With summer nearing, now is the time to help farm and ranch children learn ways to stay safe and healthy. This summer, more than 350 Progressive Agriculture Safety Days will be held across the United States, Canada and U.S. Territory locations.
Workshops teach rural children and their parents how to stay safe and healthy on the farm, ranch and at home. They are fun and educational and cover a wide array of topics, such as All-Terrain Vehicle Safety, animal safety, bicycle safety, chemical safety, disability awareness, electrical safety and Power Take-Off Safety.

“With your help, the Progressive Agriculture Foundation can accomplish its mission to make farm and ranch life safer and healthier for all children through education and training,” says Susan Reynolds, with PAF. “We encourage parents and other adults to make sure the children they love have this important educational experience.”
Individuals and groups interested in hosting a Safety Day in 2008 also are encouraged to visit www.progressiveag.org for information and applications to host a Safety Day. Applications for 2008 are due July 1, 2007.
