The National Pork Board has compiled a variety of management tips and resources to assist producers in finding ways to address rising feed costs. Also featured in the 34-page is research funded by the National Pork Checkoff.
Rising feed costs have weighed on pork producers profitability in recent years and the outlook suggests that pattern to continue. The new booklet, called “Practical Ideas to Address High Feed and Production Costs” is designed to identify opportunities to increase on-farm efficiencies and reduce costs.
The booklet is available online and will be onsite at many state pork trade shows and meetings this winter. “Practical Ideas to Address High Feed and Production Costs” draws upon checkoff research, the Pork Industry Handbook and other resources such as those found at the U.S. Pork Center of Excellence.
