New this year, World Pork Expo attendees will have the opportunity to receive event reminders on their mobile devices throughout the duration of WPX. The National Pork Producers Council and Pork magazine have teamed up to provide on-site mobile messaging for the 2010 World Pork Expo, held June 9-11 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.

Through the “Remind Me” service you can sign up for e-mail and text message alerts reminding you of key events and seminars occurring taking place at WPX. As a participant you control which alerts you receive by selecting only the events of interest. Messages will be delivered directly to your mobile phone 15 minutes before an event starts.

“Each year, we look for ways to provide more value to producers at WPX,” says John Wrigley, NPPC’s general manager of WPX. “We believe the Remind Me alerts will help attendees make the most of their WPX time.”

You can register for the Remind Me service and learn more about WPX at the WPX Resource Center.
