The Environmental Protection Agency is extending the signup period for the Air Quality Compliance Agreement to Aug. 12, 2005.

EPA granted the extension in response to requests to give producers enough time to complete the paperwork necessary to participate in the agreement.

To date, more than 1,000 operators have signed agreements. The participants represent a cross-section of the animal industry sector, including swine, egg-layers, and meat birds, and dairy operations.
