Although the fire that has swept through the Cudahy meat plant in rural Milwaukee, Wis. has been contained, the situation is not over yet, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Online.

At a news conference late Tuesday morning, Dan Mayer, Cudahy Fire Chief said "We have not declared the fire under control yet, though it is contained. We have two hot spots.”

The fire has ravaged the meat plant, owned by Smithfield Foods, since Sunday night. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Mayer said that the facility had been “very diligent in code compliance” and had been very responsive to fire department requests.
