MagneGas Corporation, a technology company that counts among its inventions a patented process that converts liquid waste into a hydrogen-based fuel, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a large hog farm in Indiana.
Established in 1996, the hog farm produces more than 40,000 pigs per year and is one of the largest in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, with future expansion planned. The hog farm will offer sterilized pig manure to the surrounding agricultural community by using the MagneGas system while co-firing MagneGas with propane or natural gas to reduce energy costs.
Following a successful demonstration, the farm has committed to buy a MagneGas sterilization system and will become an exclusive distributor for MagneGas products in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. The hog farm will also be available as the MagneGas demonstration center.
