In response, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is offering a seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the CME Auditorium in Chicago. Online participation also is an option.

Oklahoma State University Extension Livestock Marketing Specialist Darrell Peel and Paragon Economics President Steve Meyer will discuss recent updates to COOL, including its potential impact to the livestock and food industries.

COOL, passed as part of the 2008 Farm Bill that finally passed this spring following months of delays.

Registration to attend the seminar in person or online is free. For registration information, click here.
