With expert advisors in nutrition, engineering, financial, procurement and other fields, Consulting Services will offer global resources and experience derived from Cargill’s worldwide grain, feed, animal production and commodity trading businesses. Specialized expertise, local servicing, and proprietary decision tools are part of the total program.
Consulting Services also will provide its offerings to feed mills and animal producers who compete with Cargill operations. “Our purpose is to be the global leader in nourishing people,” says John Adent, general manager. “If Cargill can raise standards of quality, efficiency and profitability within the industry, then suppliers, producers and consumers all win.”
For instance, a consulting package for a feed mill would typically begin with an assessment of the customer’s operation or area of interest. If followed by a benchmarking comparison with comparable mills, that report would include things such as energy consumption, plant efficiency, safety, cost vs. model. If mill operation and management expertise are desired, weekly Model Mill reports and monthly feedback are provided in conjunction with specified frequency and level of counsel and customization.
