July 18 is the early-registration deadline for the third Midwest Boar Stud Managers Conference.  The conference is scheduled for August 7-8, in St. Louis. The registration fee is $175 before July 18 and $225 thereafter.

The conference, at the Doubletree Hotel in St. Louis, will feature national and international swine experts, a trade show, a video presentation on boar studs and a panel discussion of boar stud managers.

“This is an exciting program covering a broad range of topics,” said Tim Safranski, University of Missouri Extension swine specialist and conference coordinator. “People who specialize in managing boars can talk about their jobs and industry, and it’s a great chance for boar stud managers to meet their peers.”

To register, visit the conference Web site at http://bsmc.missouri.edu, or contact Tim Safranski at 573-884-7994 or SafranskiT@missouri.edu. To secure a hotel room at the special conference rate, call the Doubletree Hotel at 314-434-0100 and mention the boar stud conference.
