USMEF Audio: New Opportunities Key To U.S. Pork Exports

While 2010 has been a strong year for U.S. pork exports, maintaining export growth is an ongoing challenge in an industry in which competitors are becoming increasingly aggressive. The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) recently held a New Opportunities Conference in which USMEF foreign office directors, exporters, traders and other industry experts were asked to identify new opportunities for U.S. pork across the globe.

USMEF: US Beef, Pork Exports Show Strength In First Quarter

U.S. beef and pork muscle cut exports performed well in March, concluding the first quarter of 2010 with increasing momentum. A sluggish global market for variety meat held down the overall totals, but muscle cut export value for both products are running ahead of their 2009 pace.

USMEF: Japanese Bloggers Praise US Pork

A recent USMEF pork cooking seminar held for more than 30 high-profile Japanese bloggers has generated very positive reviews and more than a quarter of a million online media impressions for U.S. pork in the No. 1 value market for U.S. pork exports.

USMEF: Beef, Pork Muscle Cuts Lead February Export Advances

Both U.S. beef and pork exports grew in February, with strong expansion in muscle cuts leading the way in both, according to statistics released by the USDA and compiled by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF).
