USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service has rolled out a listserv option on its Web site to notify subscribers of significant adjustments to the agency's country-of-origin labeling law, as well as information addtions.

AMS' Web site offers detailed information targeted at both industry and consumers. The site includes resources, such as a question-and-answer section, a Power Point presentation on the COOL Interim Final Rule and links to current and historical legislative information.

The new COOL listserv option will provide subscribers with immediate updates, specifically helping retailers to "more easily achieve compliance with COOL requirements in a cost-effective manner," say USDA officials. To subscribe, go to the Web site and follow the link to registration information.
