Pork producers visiting the 2010 World Pork Expo June 9-11 should plan to stop by the swine barn for a look at the breed shows and sales. The schedule follows.
And on your way to the swine barn, check out the National Swine Registry’s display of America's Best Genetics; look for it in the Cattle Barn on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
There you will find a showcase of America's most prominent purebred genetic resources, providing the opportunity to learn more about the cutting edge of purebred genetics in the United States.
America's Best Genetics Alley will host select seedstock suppliers, boar semen companies and exporting firms that serve as a world-wide resource for production systems of any scale.
Producers can learn about genetic options dedicated to improving your bottomline- - such as lean efficiency, pork quality and lifetime maternal performance. You can learn more about and how a comprehensive genetic evaluation, coupled with molecular technology and a verified pedigree structure can serve as a source for pure genetic progress.
