The American Bankers Association and Canadian Bankers Association will meet Nov. 13-16 in Omaha, Neb., for the 2005 North American Agricultural Lenders Conference.

"Despite two different banking systems, there are fundamentals of agricultural banking, such as customer service and credit decision-making that are common to both," says conference chairman Tim Ohlde, president of Elk State Bank in Clyde, Kan. "This conference will offer lenders of both countries a better understanding of industry trends and fresh ideas for serving agriculture in North America."

The conference will address issues such as trade, farmland values, economic outlook, future government policy, how to educate the next generation agricultural lender, rural leadership and the changing family farm.
