A funny thing happened on the way from the dairy case to the produce section...  U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack made a stop in the Easter Egg aisle.

While visiting a Hy-Vee supermarket in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Thursday, Vilsack showed that we are all human and prone to indulge our sweet tooth every now and then ― even though there is also the responsibility to push for healthier eating.

Vilsack stopped and wondered aloud about getting jelly beans since it is Easter. A dietitian standing next to him agreed "a little bit is fine… moderation.”

Vilsack eventually made it to the produce section where he announced that $285 million in incentives would be made available to states to encourage healthy eating. He also shared the results of a pilot study in schools where it was shown that young people will eat fruits and vegetables when given the choice.
