USDA: Frozen pork supplies down 6 percent from 2012

According to the USDA's latest "Cold Storage" report, total red meat supplies in freezers were down slightly from the previous month and down 2 percent from Oct. 31, 2012.

Frozen pork supplies were down slightly from the previous month and down 6 percent from last year. Stocks of pork bellies were up 17 percent from last month and up 47 percent from last year.

Total pounds of beef in freezers were down slightly from t he previous month but up 3 percent from last year.
