A Voluntary Regional Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) Elimination Project meeting will be held July 16 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center, 46352 State Highway 329, Morris, Minn.
The meeting topics will include a presentation of updated maps and a progress report. Pipestone, Minn., veterinarian and PRRS researcher Scott Dee, DVM, will present ‘What's New With PRRS Virus?’ and Adam Mueller, DVM, from Swine Services, Rice, Minn., will provide his insights on PRRS management in small herds. Also speaking will be Todd Distad, DVM, from Suidae.
Pizza and beverages will be served following the meeting. There are no enrollment fees or participation costs and all pork producers are encouraged to attend, especially those who raise hogs north of U.S. Highway 212 and Renville County.
