A Regional Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) Elimination Project meeting will be held Sept. 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center in Prinsburg, Minn.
The meeting agenda will include:
- current site status and updated maps of the four sub-regions - Stevens County Area, Kandiyohi/Renville County Area, Rice Area and Northwest Minnesota;
- a presentation by Mark Miller and Roger Punt titled PRRS Herd Progress: Country Pork Path to Negative;
- a talk by Linda Glasier of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health on foreign animal disease response.
Pizza and beverages will be served following the meeting. There are no enrollment fees or participation costs and all pork producers are encouraged to attend, especially those who raise hogs north of U.S. Highway 212 and Renville County.
