The Ohio Pork Council (OPC) has joined with generous supporters the Ohio Association of Meat Processors, the Ohio Corn Marketing Program and many Ohio pig farmers and businesses to support The Foodbank with a donation of over 10,000 pounds of pork. The protein-packed pork will provide more than 50,000 meals to hungry families in the Miami Valley just in time for Easter.

Representatives from The Foodbank, the Ohio Pork Council, and Cooper Farms, one of the many farms represented in this donation, will be on hand this Wednesday when the pork donation is delivered to The Foodbank.

Ohio pig farmers have donated more than 1 million meals of nutritious pork to Ohio’s foodbanks since 2009.
