Workers at the Hormel Processing Plant in Dubuque, Iowa are considering joining a union in response to unfulfilled pay raise promises.

The $89 million plant, which processes Hormel's Compleats microwavable meals, was opened in January 2010. Original plans included hiring up to 200 workers by the end of 2010. Currently 150 people are employed by the Dubuque plant.

Hormel also made news this week as they posted their 3Q earnings report.
