As the House of Representatives puts off a vote on the 2012 Farm Bill, Mary Kay Thatcher, American Farm Bureau Federation, senior director of Congressional relations, says the outcome is very hard to predict. However, “there will be far less money to write a farm bill next year than this year,” she warns.

Further, there is no guarantee that the farm bill will be brought up in a lame duck session because there are many other issues that will likely take priority, such as expiring tax provisions.

The comments were made in an interview Tuesday with Mike Adams, host of AgriTalk.
